Wednesday 13th April
…to talk to my friend Bree.
She’s coming home from a year spent travelling and working in Ireland. I haven’t seen her since the very end of my European adventure, when we travelled through Italy together.
She gets back on Friday, but due to a multitude of assignments, weddings and the like, i probably won’t manage to see her until later on next...

Monday 11th April
…to fill in at work.
One of my co-workers took the day off to spend time with her cat (true story).
I bought a nice clock for the wedding on the weekend. I’m getting excited to see my friends, who will be in town for the big event.
Sunday 10th April
…to work some more.
Most exciting moment: pricing Easter eggs, getting to eat the ones that were damaged :D
Saturday 9th April
…to do absolutely nothing worth mentioning.
I drove to work (which still kinda feels like a victory). Priced some stuff. Put some stuff on some shelves. Sold some stuff. Gift wrapped some stuff. Talked to my co-worker about some stuff. Ate some stuff. Drove home. Studied some stuff.
Friday 8th April
…to lunch with Linda.
Saw a guy fall off his bike in an interesting forward-roll-typed move.
Also, made Linda walk all the way across campus with me to admire my car.
Was good, was good. (Not so much for the cycle-fail dude)
Thursday 7th April
…to study.
Best Boy: n. Chief assistant of the gaffer.
Filler papers are the best!
Wednesday 6th April
…to have a lecture, in a lecture theatre!!!
It’s getting colder, so tent lectures have long since lost their appeal. Apparently everyone will be out of their tents after Easter break.
It really is the small things in life that matter the most.
Monday 4th April
…to hand in my first big(ish) assignment of the year.
It was a real bitch of a thing that stressed me out to the max extreme. I re-wrote it about three times and will probably still fail in some unusual and unexpected way.
Oh well, onto the next!
Saturday 2nd April
…to get a new car!
Sweet success!
My Dad and brother had to drive all the way to Nelson and back to collect it- a little Mazda Familia.
Here are some of the things that this car has that my old car doesn’t:
power steering
power breaks
central locking
electric windows
A/C
wing mirrors (they can be adjusted from INSIDE the car)
rear window wiper (and several wiper...
Thursday 31st March
…to work on assignments.
Bleugh!
I got one finished and got frustrated by the other. I’m also slowly but surely falling behind on my readings.
Aahhh, yes, this is the feeling that I missed so much and couldn’t wait to get back to!
Wednesday 30th March
…to test drive another car.
My friend has fixed up his sister’s old car and is now selling it on. I went for a wee drive and was even made to perform a parallel park. All went well until my Dad hopped behind the wheel for a spin and the car died.
I texted my friend and he came and picked us up. We commended him on his obvious skill as a mechanic and politely...
Monday 28th March
…to look at a potential new car.
Dad made me take a test drive, it was the first time I’ve driven anything in months.
We didn’t get the car, it was a bit shabby on the inside and was too big for little old me.
So, the hunt continues on, we have another potential lined up for later in the week.

Saturday 26th March
…to have a crazy-busy day at work.
Followed by a ton of study. Can’t believe how quickly everything is piling up! Eeek, assignments due next week. It’s definitely easier being a teacher, dishing out the homework rather than doing it yourself.
Friday 25th March
…to have lunch with my frieeeends.
Seeing as approximately 3/4 of the cafes in CHCH are shut at the moment, we were pretty lucky to find a table at Coffee Culture at Riccarton. It was fun catching up and comparing our experiences in the make-shift tent university. I’m pretty jealous that their tents have doors.
We’re planning out next excursion to Governors...
Thursday 24th March
…to hand in my first piece of assessment for the semester AND to get invited to my friend’s Hen’s night!
I’ve never been to a Hen’s night, so it will be one for the record books. Though, probally not the police record books, as knowing the Bride-to-be, it will be a fairly tame event.

Monday 21st March
…to have my third class restart after the ‘Quake.
It’s being conducted entirely online. Our lecturer posts short videos, which we work through at our leisure, then head over to the forum page where we answer questions and party hard.
I assume that at some point we’ll have to submit some essays or something, but for now everything seems quite...
