Chinese food. Everything was delicious. Loved seeing Wee Jenn wearing a suit! Ha, we’re all getting so grown up.

Less thumb pain today. Instead, lots of sneezing as a result of an entire afternoon spent dusting.

…to head back into the cold, cruel world of customer service.
After five short days of student life, I’d somehow almost forgotten the thumb pain that comes after a day of putting on/peeling off countless price stickers.
Life is hard.

…to have my first audiences lecture!
Wooo, we get to design/ carry out our own study! That’s a pretty rare thing to get to do at under-grad level, especially in the social sciences.
I am excited about it. I haven’t been experimental since my past life as a Ling major. I hope there will be graphs.
Wednesday 13th July
…to read 20 or so pages on the “Approaches to theorizing international communication”.
It was about as lively as it sounds. Still, I got to feel that nice smug feeling that comes with having completed the set readings before class.
First International Comms lecture was interesting enough. Our classes are being held in the new classroom “village”...
Tuesday 12th July
…to fail.
Day two of semester two was not nearly as successful as day one. It seems I got my wires crossed with our lecture time and showed up well after everyone else had left.
*Sigh*
Then I had to get a WoF for my car and in doing so discovered that I need four new tires. Fudge.
Perhaps splurging on a pretty Spencer-flavored cardigan was not such a great idea after...

…to have a poke around the Uni website and discover that I don’t need to buy any textbooks this semester!
Eeeee, definitely buying myself a present!

Both me and my workmate felt sick all day. It was also incredibly busy, so neither of us could duck out early. LAME.

It’s kind of good to have something to do. These holidays have been pretty slow. It’s also fun to get to do the weekday things at work. Much more exciting than the weekend tasks i.e. dusting.
Overall, I’m happy for the chance to earn some $$

I’ve got a ton of extra hours this week. It’s good because I have to buy books for semester two, as well as paying off my car. It’s bad because I have to work extra hours.

Out for a farewell dinner with the work girls. Found a good little Thai food place near work. It was packed, so obviously a local favourite.

…to stay at home and do nothing.
I tidied my room a little. Apparently my brother is moving out this weekend, so hopefully I can move my drums into his old room to free up some space.
Monday 27th June
…to hang out with my super cool friend gaiarose!
We had hot chocolates and discussed the finer things in life (i.e. gossip and Harry Potter) all with an ocean view.

Nothing exciting ever happens. When you work in a school there is endless gossip about everyone, from the teachers, to the students, to their families, to the school inspectors, to the lunch ladies etc.
Perhaps I should do something outrageous to shake things up a bit.

One of the girls is leaving. This is a sad development, but also one that will result in a farewell dinner.
I’ve been pretty bored these holidays, so any excuse for a night out is welcome in my book.
